On Thursday 13th June, from 10 am to 11 am, Graham Sykes, Senior Director of Youth Social CiC is hosting a webinar about what motivates teens and young adults to volunteer.

Between January and April 2024, Youth Social has produced a suite of podcasts to promote youth volunteering.

Youth Social has interviewed over 20 young people and engaged with over a dozen organisations as part of the project. This has given Senior Director, and podcaster producer Graham Sykes a unique insight into what young people are looking for in a volunteering opportunity and what organisations need to do to engage teens and young adults effectively.

To encourage more organisations to offer youth volunteering opportunities he will be hosting a project dissemination webinar between 10.00-11.00 am on Thursday 13th June.

During the session, he will be looking at:

• What is more important – the organisation, the role, or the benefits young people will get?
• What makes an organisation a good one to volunteer for?
• What makes a good role/activity for young people?
• What benefits are young people looking for from a volunteering opportunity?
• How can you promote your opportunity to young people?

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the end via a Q&A session.
