Interested in an exhibition with a difference? Then take a trip to the West Yorkshire print workshop in Mirfield.
The Young People’s Activity Team (YPAT) are running ‘Every child an artist’. This is an exhibition that showcases the artistic expressions of some of the young people they support.
YPAT is a short breaks respite service for children and young people with a disability from across Kirklees. YPAT provide a range of fun activities for young people at their school clubs, play schemes and weekend clubs.
The children take part in a range of arts and crafts activities, everything from clay to painting to jewellery making.
The exhibition celebrates the experience and process of creating the work, rather than the standard of the finished product.
All the work on display is beautiful or thought provoking in its own way. The freedom to express how they feel means that there is a diverse range of art on display, so you are sure to find something you love.
The featured prints, sketches, photography and video celebrate the unique and expressive work created by the young people.
