On October 1, Louise Lewis, a Teacher at North Huddersfield Trust School, was allegedly suspended after raising issues of a breach in Covid-19 guidelines.
Ms Lewis believes that health and safety guidelines around the virus have not been met by the school.
Campaigners on behalf of the National Education Union gathered today (December 16) outside the school to rally against the suspension, claiming that the charges have been ‘trumped-up’ in an effort to remove the union voice of opposition from the School.
Many involved wish to see Ms Lewis fully reinstated.
So far North Huddersfield Trust has not made any statement regarding Ms Lewis’s suspension, but an inside source says that the school is continuing to do the very best they can in following health and safety guidelines and protecting pupils.
