Following the success of the first workshop in March, KLTV returned to the Chestnut Centre in Sheepridge to see how the Move More Fartown project is building real momentum within the community.

Following on from Workshop one, where residents, community groups, and local organisations came together to share their experiences, this second session focused on turning those conversations into action.

The initial workshop created space for honest discussion around the barriers to staying active in the Fartown and Leeds Road areas, highlighting issues such as access to safe spaces, local infrastructure, and the social challenges that can prevent people from moving more.

With those insights at the forefront, Workshop 2 shifted towards developing a practical action plan.

Attendees worked collaboratively to explore solutions, prioritise key areas for improvement, and begin shaping ideas into achievable steps that can make a lasting difference.

A major theme throughout the Move More Fartown project is ensuring that change is led by the community itself.

By putting decision-making power into the hands of those who live and work in the area, the project aims to create meaningful, sustainable change that truly reflects local needs.
