The Institute for Equity at University Centre is a specialist research-led authority on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), leadership, organisational effectiveness and professional standards. Working with organisations across all sectors, the Institute supports the development of inclusive systems, practices and cultures through services that are grounded in practice and informed by research.
The Institute’s vision is to become a nationally and internationally recognised centre for EDI research, practice and leadership development. Its mission is to develop people who can transform organisational systems, structures and processes; commission and publish research that advances thought leadership on a wide range of EDI issues; and build partnerships with individuals and institutions across the UK and around the world to address shared challenges and promote equality.
At the heart of the Institute’s work are four core values. Integrity ensures that all research and evidence are rigorous and robust. Fairness guides how the Institute works with colleagues, communities and organisations. Innovation drives a flexible and agile response to changing social and organisational environments, while Community reflects a commitment to collaboration, partnership and collective impact.
Through a range of research-led services built around its key pillars of work, the Institute for Equity helps organisations develop evidence-based interventions that improve inclusion, strengthen leadership and create lasting organisational change.
