Natalie Pinnock-Hamilton MBE is a British community leader and activist based in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, renowned for her extensive voluntary work and social development initiatives.
Key Contributions and Roles
Community & Cultural Institutions: She served as a founding member of the HUDAWI Cultural Centre, a key hub for Huddersfield’s African-Caribbean community, and helped establish organisations including the Huddersfield Sickle Cell Support Group, the Carnival Committee, and Sadeh Lok Housing Association.
Education & Youth Initiatives: She is a founding member of Education 2000, an organisation created to support educational attainment among African Caribbean youth. In addition, she established the youth performing arts group Reach Performing Arts to provide affordable access to acting, singing, and dancing tuition for young people.
Public Service & Professional Career: Her career includes work as Assistant Community Relations Officer for the Kirklees Community Relations Council, Chief Executive at Rastrick Youth Forum, and Principal Community Development Officer for Leeds City Council’s Equal Opportunities Unit. She has also served as a Non-Executive Director for local health authorities and as a former director involved in setting up the local West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.
