The Board of Trustees of Musica Kirklees is inviting interest from members of the local community (including young people over the age of 18) who share a love of music, to join them.
They are currently looking for new members to join their board and oversee the strategic direction of the organisation.
If you have:
- A passion for music in its broadest sense
- A desire to provide musical opportunities for people in the community
- Any skills or experience that would benefit Musica Kirklees and the work they do
Then Musica Kirklees would like to hear from you.
Meetings of the board are currently held three times per year and give members the opportunity to influence and direct Musica’s efforts to promote the advancement of public education in all aspects of music
Musica Kirklees (with support from Arts Council England) is the lead organisation for the Music Education Hub in the borough, supporting and championing music making for young people and adults across Kirklees.
Their vision is to work with schools and their wider communities to encourage people to play instruments, sing, become members of ensembles and develop a life-long love of music.
As well as offering tuition in Kirklees schools, they provide a range of groups, ensembles and lessons at their five music centres across the area.
For more information and to register your interest, contact Niki Matthews (PA to the Principal) by Friday 30th April 2021.
