During the period November to December admission authorities can consult on any proposed changes to their admission arrangements (admission policy and published admission number) that they apply to children joining the school for the first time in September of the following offer year.
Kirklees is the admission authority for all its community and voluntary controlled primary and secondary schools and is now consulting on the policy and published admission numbers for admission in September 2018.
Consultation on school admission arrangements for the school year 2018-19
The admission authorities for primary and secondary voluntary aided schools, trust schools and academies are the governing bodies/academy trusts of the individual schools and academies. Any comments regarding proposed changes to the arrangements should be made directly to the respective school or academy.
All relevant parents and other groups with an interest in the local area have a right to take part in this consultation process.
- 1 November 2016 – 12 December 2016: Kirklees Council consult on proposed admission arrangements
- 28 February 2017: Determine admission arrangements
- 15 March 2017: Publish determined admission arrangements
- 15 May 2017: Objections to the adjudicator
