Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice has announced the appointment of Ken Davy as President of the charity’s new corporate ‘Platinum Partners’ consortium.
Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice supports babies and children with life-shortening conditions and their families across West Yorkshire. Each year the charity receives just 6% of funding from the government and is required to raise over £4m in charitable donations to enable it’s services and support.
Ken Davy is a well-known Huddersfield entrepreneur and current interim chairman of the Rugby Super League. Mr Davy is also the former chairman of football club Huddersfield Town and ran as the Conservative Party candidate for Huddersfield in the 2019 General Election.
Mr Davy will lead the development of Forget Me Not’s corporate partner’s initiative for businesses and organisations looking to support this vital local children’s charity.
The new ‘Platinum Partners’
Forget Me Not’s ‘Platinum Partners’ is a title for businesses that commit to supporting the charity. The businesses contribution plays a significant role in helping to secure the future of the hospice.
The inaugural Platinum Partners include Advanced Supply Chain Group, Altrad UK & Ireland, Charlesworth Family Group, CORE Facility Services Ltd, Froneri UK and Richter (Huddersfield).
In order to become a Platinum Partner, a businesses need to commit to supporting the charity for at least a year.
In return of being‘Platinum Partner’ businesses receive exclusive invitations to partners-only events and royal engagements. As well as, a dedicated fundraiser and access to the soon-to-be-launched Child Bereavement Training for Employers Programme.
