Huddersfield Giants face off against Hull FC tonight at the John Smith’s Stadium. 19:45 KO.
Team News
The past couple of months have been tough for Huddersfield, who are without a win in their last six games in the Super League.
This game presents a good opportunity for Giants to redeem themselves however after they narrowly lost to Hull only recently.
Previous Game
Huddersfield’s last game was against Wigan, where they suffered a narrow defeat at 12-14.
This was a great performance from Huddersfield and it was very unfortunate that they were not able to get the win out of this game.
It was a close match, with very few points between the teams throughout. Unfortunately there just wasn’t enough time for Huddersfield to get ahead, despite their late efforts.
There were a lot of positives that the Giants can take from the game, and hopefully, they will be able to bring them into this game’s performance.
We really need to see Huddersfield pick up their game and break out of this 6 mini losing streak.
Hull FC
Unfortunately for the Black and Whites, Hull FC have had a fairly big break from matches due to a series of Covid-19 issues leading to games being postponed.
Interestingly enough their last game played in the Super League was against Huddersfield back in June. So it will be interesting to see how Hull takes to the field after being away for a not-insignificant amount of time.
After experiencing this break there is always going to be the added pressure towards Hull and a higher expectation on their performance in the game, this is certainly something that Hull will be thinking about when going into tonight’s game at the John Smiths Stadium.
One to Watch
One player that I picked out for Hull previously was Adam Swift. And I am going to have to mention him again as he hasn’t had the chance yet to be recognised.
This is most definitely a player to keep an eye on as we head into tonights game and I think that any chance that he is given, he is going to take it.
Prediction
This is a very strange occurrence for Hull due to the fact that their last game was also against Huddersfield, so predictions this game might be a little different than usual
I think that it’s now time for Huddersfield to bring themselves back on track and to get a win. The Giants have to be thinking about the fact that none of the Hull players has had any official game time since they last matched up.
That being said, it would be foolish to underestimate any team simply down to unplanned time off. I highly doubt Hull have just been sitting around in the interim.
I would love to see Huddersfield redeem themselves tonight and bring those 2 points to the table.
