Now that’s more like it! a fantastic win and performance from the Giants.
After a rough six-game losing streak, Huddersfield has managed to break it and finally get themselves a win in their face-off against Hull FC.
The Giants faced the Black and Whites last Thursday for the second time this season. Due to COVID-19, Hull had not played a game since the last time they saw Huddersfield. This time, the Giants got their revenge.
Match Highlights
It wasn’t all smooth sailing however as Hull kicked off the game with a try and a conversion to follow in the first five minutes, really trying to put Huddersfield under pressure.
The Giants quickly returned in kind however with two tries just five minutes later.
From this point, we really saw Huddersfield lift off with the tries and the conversions throughout the rest of the match.
In the end, Huddersfield beat Hull 40-26, a tough game for both sides but Hull just could not keep up with the Giants.
This now leaves Huddersfield 9th in the Super League table
Post-Match Thoughts
This game will likely prove vitally important for Huddersfield as a game for them to get back on track which will have hopefully brought some confidence back into the team.
The Giants went in the game with an advantage as Hull had not played a game for the past month and as we know having game time and experience is key to progressing and winning more matches.
Huddersfield now needs to prepare themselves and tighten everything up before their next game to make sure that they can get their best chance at winning.
Next Game
Huddersfield’s next game was meant to be played against St Helens on the 28th of July but due to coronavirus, this game will not be taking place as of the time of writing.
This then pushes Huddersfield’s next game onto Castleford away on Monday the 2nd of August.
This will be a tough game for both teams with Castleford only being one place above Huddersfield in the table.
