Another disappointing loss for Huddersfield Town. With only five games to go, will it be enough to keep the Terriers in the Championship?
Huddersfield Town v AFC Bournemouth
After the Huddersfield Town v AFC Bournemouth match on Tuesday the 13 April, Huddersfield Town was defeated again.
These losses are becoming extremely frustrating for the Huddersfield fans as they know it is getting close to the end of the season, and they need to do everything they can to survive.
Huddersfield Town is now 19th in the table with only a 5-point gap from them to the relegation zone following Rotherham’s win last night, another team fighting to stay in the Championship. This is becoming an extremely close call for the Terriers.
Huddersfield Town has had a lot of injuries this season which has hindered their campaign. Despite this, Huddersfield is not short of strong players.
Here are some of the fan’s thoughts from the half time text in from the Bournemouth game.
“3 wins in 20 games, unacceptable.”
“Carlos, why is he still here?”
“On this form, we are heading straight for relegation.”
“Carlos has to go.”
Philip Billing 15’ – GOAL
Jonathan Hogg 23’ – Great shot on target
Dominic Solanke 45’ – GOAL
Jonathan Hogg 76’ – GOAL
Final Score – Huddersfield 1-2 Bournemouth
After watching the Huddersfield game, I am certain that I have similar thoughts to other people.
Something needs to change fast at Huddersfield Town, or this will be relegation as other teams are starting to pick their game up now as they are also in desperate need of points.
We know that Bournemouth is a strong team, shown clearly by the form they are on. However, it is not just this one game for Huddersfield that is frustrating the fans; it is the past 20.
Huddersfield had an awful first half, but the second half did seem a little better; it almost felt like they were a little more composed. Jonathan Hogg’s goal did follow this composure, but it was not enough for Huddersfield to gain a point.
Let us hope that Huddersfield can change something in time and make sure that they can stay in the Championship.
