Dewsbury-based arts organisation, Manasamitra, has partnered with Kirklees Libraries for a tour of its brand-new performance – Slumber Stories.
Slumber Stories
Slumber Stories intertwines contemporary tales and music from around the world. It aims to provide an entertaining, family-friendly experience over October and November. You can still catch the two final performances at the end of November.
The performances will later be released as podcasts and aim to inspire parents and children to continue a night-time storytelling ritual at home.
“Thrilled”
Creator and musician Supriya Nagarajan said: “We are thrilled to be performing Slumber Stories to families in Kirklees. We have worked hand in hand with Kirklees Libraries to deliver a stimulating and fun programme of events for the local community.
“The last 18 months have been extremely challenging, with children learning remotely and parents juggling work, schooling and many other responsibilities. We really want to help provide a restful evening for families to bond and recentre after the ordeals of the pandemic.”
