A late goal from Peterborough United leaves Huddersfield Town shook!
A disappointing result for Huddersfield Town last night after a late Peterborough United goal left The Terriers frustrated. After a very tight away game, Huddersfield did not come away from the game with a win.
The first half of the game had some good chances from both sides, but one noticeable chance from Huddersfield Town was their unfortunate offside goal. A great shot from Sorba Thomas hit the crossbar but then, unfortunately, bounced back to Danny Ward in an offside position.

Another noticeable thing that happened in the first half was the awful penalty decision. Danny Ward was running through into the box before the keeper wiped him out. In my opinion, this was a clear penalty.
As the second half started, the goal opportunities were all coming from The Terriers. With three noticeable ones not falling the way Huddersfield was looking for.
Then Huddersfield finally got the goal that they had been desperately looking for. A corner that was smoothly whipped into the box and headed down by Colwill, leaving Danny Ward to put it into the back of the net.
The lead didn’t last long for Huddersfield, as Peterborough came back with a brilliant cross into the box, leaving Jonson to put it into the back of the net to bring the game to a 1-1 draw.
Post-match thoughts
Away from home and getting one point is certainly not the worst result, but I think that it is more frustrating just based on the number of chances and how close they were to securing a goal each time.
There is time to rest now for Huddersfield before a trip down to Cardiff on Saturday afternoon (15:00KO). This will be another challenging game and from Cardiff’s performance last Saturday, it is clear that they are not a team that will give up easily.
