Several incidents have occurred in West Yorkshire over the past week, including a stabbing Dalton and an unlicensed rave that broke COVID-19 restrictions.
Sunday 11th April | Fines issued Following an unlicensed music event
A man in Keighly has been served with a £10,000 fine for a breach in the COVID-19 restrictions on Sunday night (April 11).
Approximately 50 people were dispersed from premises on Becks Road, following a report of an ongoing rave.
Those present were served an £800 fine each and a large amount of alcohol was seized from a bar.
Tuesday 13th April | Three men charged following a stabbing, Dalton, Huddersfield
Three men appeared in court on April 13 charged with the wounding of a man in Dalton, Huddersfield.
Lewis Selby (27) of Green Lane, Horbury, Shane Hirst (22) of Clare Hill in Huddersfield and John McDonagh (31) of Lea Head, Huddersfield appeared before Leeds Magistrates Court charged with section 18 wounding.
The men were arrested following an incident at a residential address in Rawthorpe Lane in the early hours of Sunday, April 11 in which a man was stabbed.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Thursday 15th April | Man charged with murder over women’s death, Leeds
A man has appeared in court and has being charged with murder over the death of a women in Leeds.
Carl Chadwick, aged 35, appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court today charged with the murder of Sarah Keith, aged 26, who was found dead at the couple’s flat in Broadway, Horsforth, on April 13.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court on April 19.
In a statement, Sarah’s Family said: “Sarah was a kind and loving mother, daughter and sister. She always put a smile on everyone’s face. Losing her has left us all feeling so sad and hurt.”
Friday 16th April | Reoffending Drugs Trafficker Pays A £200k Price
A serial offender, currently serving 14 years in prison for a string of serious drug offences, has now been ordered to pay more than £200K for his crimes.
Derrick Woods (Age 41) faced confiscation proceedings at Leeds Crown Court on Friday, April 16
This fine must be paid in full within three months or another additional 18 months will be added to his sentence.
Saturday 17th April | Male arrested over sexual assault, Bradford.
Police investigating a sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl in Bradford. A male has been arrested.
His arrest follows a public appeal for information earlier this week.
He has been bailed with conditions, including staying at a specific address, a night-time curfew, and regular reporting to a police station.
