Are you a street performer looking to make your mark on the high street?
Huddersfield Business Improvement District (BID) are looking for Street Performers to come and entertain the people of Huddersfield Town Centre in their new ‘Super Saturdays’ project.
They’re looking to add cheer, excitement and liveliness throughout 2021 with a wide array of opportunities. Singers, musicians, entertainers, actors, dancers and many more are encouraged to get in touch.
This opportunity is open to both paid and voluntary opportunities for performers to get involved.
Among their efforts to contribute to making Huddersfield a thriving shopping, leisure, work and study destination, Huddersfield BID notes that vibrancy through performance in any town centre is important for rejuvenating public space, while promoting a sense of feeling safe, welcoming and appealing.
Street Performers most importantly boosts people’s experience of their visit to a town centre, whether it be a person working in the town centre, a business owner, shopper or visitor, by giving them a reason look forward to visiting again in the near future.
Huddersfield BID wants as many people involved as possible. If you want to be part of the project or know someone that may be a perfect fit, then you can email BID with information about the performance at enquiries@huddersfieldbid.co.uk
For BID, the plan is for the project to provide a lively, exciting, welcome and safe Huddersfield for all.
