Finally, a win for the Giants!
After a slow start to the season for Huddersfield Giants, they have finally managed to get a win. Rival team, Leeds Rhinos, played the Giants on Sunday where, unfortunately for them, they went home with a loss.
The Giants have now had their first win now – breaking their losing streak. Hopefully, going forward, we will start to see some better performances from the Giants.
The game was a close one, with both teams really pushing to win throughout the game, but with the Giants coming through with a drop goal in the final minute, Huddersfield Giants managed to push over the scoreline and secure the win.
Looking into the stats on the game, it looks like the match stayed remarkably close. In the first half, we saw most of the action come in from Huddersfield, but as we progressed into the second half we start to see Leeds pick up their game and push for the win.
The Rhinos had the lead until the 76th minute, where Sezer scored the first drop goal. Only a couple of minutes later, we saw the other drop goal to give the Giants the win in the 80th minute.
It was nice to see that the scoreline did not affect the Huddersfield Giants from pushing in the game’s final minutes.

Next Game
The Giants next game in the Super League will be played on 17 May. Huddersfield will be up against Warrington, who have had a good start to the season so far. They have had three wins and a draw out of their past five games, which has not gone unnoticed.
This will be another test for the Giants and we’ll see what they can do whilst put under a bit more pressure.
It would be nice to see if the Giants could come away with another win to make it two on the bounce for them in the Super League.
Post-Match Thoughts
After reflecting on the game, Sunday’s game was an incredibly positive result for the Giants and is a result that the team will be able to look back on positively.
The in-game performance from the statistics looked good for Huddersfield. We saw that when Leeds scored their trys, it must have been a slow point for the Giants, but they soon adapted and managed to win.
Huddersfield was in need of a win and to get it against their rival team must have been a bonus.
The Giants will now be progressing to their next game on 17 May, where hopefully, they will bring another 2 points back to the table.
