Wow, Crash Bandicoot is back, and you know what, It is about time. It’s been over two decades since the release of Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped, we are finally getting full sequel
After the success of the N. Sane Trilogy Remaster and Crash Team Racing, publisher Activision has decided to make a sequel to the franchise with developer Toys for Bob.
According to the developers, Crash Bandicoot 4 will have over 100 levels. These levels will include new obstacles and challenges such as running away from dinosaurs and surfing and will feature levels set in snowy areas, sewers, and under the sea.
With this much variety, we will have plenty of content to play with and with the amazing visuals that the new Crash Bandicoot is now known for. The developer has promised that it will retain its more linear level designs. So the game will still feel like the traditional games from back in the day.

The playable characters that have been confirmed in the game are Crash, Coco, and now Cortex. The characters have had some overhauls to the design with Crash and Cortex having slight changes. In contrast, Coco has a more significant overhaul. There are four new characters in new masks with different powers.
The story that takes place is a simple one, the three previous villains of the N. Sane Trilogy have broken out of prison, which is a time-twisting machine. However, with their escape, time rips, and this allows the villains to cause chaos.
Crash and Coco must now work with four new ‘Quantum’ masks to stop them. You will be able to use the problems with time to freeze platforms, or you can use the Quantum masks to gain special abilities.

You will be able to switch between Crash and Coco at any time, and there will also be multiplayer where you can play with up to 4 players.
Overall, the game is looking great with the new visuals and smoother animations, and it is great to see such a great franchise continue. I am also looking forward to seeing what Toys for Bob does for their own spin on the game to make it unique.
The game will release on October 2nd, 2020 for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
