Huddersfield-based walking group, We In Front, is set to be the subject of an upcoming BBC Radio 4 programme.
Community Rallies to Find Missing Paul Alexander: Heartfelt Vigil Marks Tragic End to Search
56-year-old Huddersfield resident Paul Alexander, known to many as ‘P’, went missing from his family home in Brackenhall on Saturday, 3 February and was last seen on the same day in Sheepridge.
Unfortunately, the search ultimately ended in tragedy when a member of the public reported seeing a body in Huddersfield Broad Canal to West Yorkshire Police on Wednesday, 14 February, at 14:37.
One Million Pounds for Safer Communities from Mayor’s Fund
Sixty-eight community projects across West Yorkshire are to benefit from over one million pounds in funding.
The money, given out at an awards event in Leeds on Wednesday 7th February, is from the Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund and will tackle issues such as serious violence, and hate crime, and support victims of crime and trauma.

What to Expect in March:
Kirklees Local Television will continue to cover local news stories in the area and showcase the rich diversity of Kirklees and the stories that represent the communities of the region.
An event in March to keep an eye out for, is the Huddersfield St Patrick’s Day Parade 2024, which takes place on Sunday 10th March from 12 pm to 5 pm.
The parade will take place at Huddersfield Open Market, and include a bar, food vendors, sweet stall, ice cream van, and facepainting.
