Huddersfield town faces off against Cardiff City on Saturday the 6th of November, 3 pm kick off.
The Terriers will face up against The Bluebitfs and hope to continue their decent run of form and come out of the game with three points.
Team News
Town are currently 7th in the table after their previous result against Peterborough.
Huddersfield’s last result was very unfortunate. After a long game with many chances, Dany Ward finally managed to put one in the back of the net.
However, the lead did not last long though as Peterborough reacted well to this and got a goal back with 5 minutes to go.
The game finished a 1-1 draw, so for a game away from home this is not the worst result for Huddersfield but is frustrating considering the performance the team put in.
One special mention for a Huddersfield Town player has to be Danny Ward, who has really come on since the start of the season and is starting to really stand out as a reliable forward. Last season was very unfortunate for him, not being able to play and watching Huddersfield struggle.
Danny is hopefully going to be a great player to watch throughout the season and hopefully we will see him progress further.
Cardiff City
The Bluebirds are currently sitting 21st in the table, and a poor series of results barring the comeback against Stoke City last week means they’re struggling to gain a secure foothold above the relegation zone.
Cardiff are a very physical team but I think the whole situation with their manager has caused them to be in the position that they are currently in.
The Stoke result shows that you can never count them out, however, and the Terriers will have to be on their guard to see this game through.
One player to watch for Cardiff is Aden Flint. Flint got has got himself a total of four goals and an assist so far this season.
I think that if Cardiff gets back on form he will be able to find his feet and add some more goals to the score sheet.
Pre-Match Press Conference
Huddersfield’s Head Coach Carlos Corberán spoke to the media ahead of the game.
Speaking on the midweek game, he said: “After scoring the goal we did not control the ball well enough, and therefore we then soon conceded.
“The goal is to take it game by game and get as many results as possible”.
Speaking on the upcoming match, he added: “I want to create a competitive mentality in the club
“Winning away more is something we want to change; we want to be competitive at both home and away games”.
Prediction
As always predicting games is so hard to do in the Championship and week in week out, we see shock results on a regular basis.
Despite a few fumbles, Huddersfield remains on good form,
Their last result was certainly frustrating, but I don’t think that this is something that should affect them but hopefully make them even more hungry for the three points at the weekend.
Cardiff are on bad form and again, the whole manager situation has not helped them in any way, they are a good side, and I don’t think that this is a game to be taken for granted.
Therefore, I predict:
