Connect Health will take over from October 1st, starting on a 5-year contract to run orthopaedics, rheumatology, physiotherapy and pain management for North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group (NKCCC).
Patients who are currently undergoing treatment for pain management will continue to be seen by the current provider, Health Pain Management Solutions.
GP referrals for MSK treatmeny will be transferred to nearby health centres.
Dr David Kelly, Chair of North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group says, “This new combined service will ensure that local people receive the best personalised MSK pain and management services for their needs”.
Mid Yorkshire Trust has stated none of its current physiotherapists at Dewsbury Hospital are to be made redundant, and that services remaining at the hospital will run as normal.
